On Sunday, the representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt, Dr. John Jabbour, praised the way in which the authorities in Egypt dealt with the Corona virus, in an interview with “CNN”.

Jabour said that “Egypt is working well to contain groups since the beginning of the event, or the emergence of symptoms among tourists, and then follow the communications and control within the community in order not to spread on a larger scale.”

He added that Egypt and Oman are the only countries in the region that have “a strong monitoring system that depends on events.”

The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations at all ports of the country (air, land, and marine), follow the situation first-hand regarding the emerging Corona virus, and take all necessary precautions against any viruses or infectious diseases, and hotline 105 has been allocated to receive citizens’ inquiries about the Corona virus Emerging and infectious diseases.

The Ministry of Health had announced that the number of people infected with Corona virus, on Sunday evening, had risen to 126 after registering 16 new cases, in contact with the positive cases that had been previously discovered and announced, with the exception of an Egyptian case returning from Italy, where they had been discovered within the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures according to For WHO advice.
