Tunisian Sports Minister Ahmed Kaaloul denied the rumors that a decision had been issued to prevent foreign fans from attending the African Champions League matches in Tunisia.
Tunisian Health Minister Abdel-Latif El-Makki announced that foreign fans would be banned from attending Tunisian club matches on the field.
In statements to “On Time” channel, Ahmed Qaloul said: “There are no decisions regarding banning foreign or local audiences until now.”
Esperance is preparing to host Zamalek next Friday at Rades Stadium in the second leg of the African Champions League quarter-final match.
The Tunisian minister added: “The virus (Corona) did not spread in Egypt or Tunisia until uncommon decisions were issued to prevent the masses.”
Qaloul ended: “We welcome the Egyptians to attend the match on the field, and my message to the Egyptian and Tunisian fans is that the world is following us and we have to show progress, progress and civilization in front of everyone on the field.”
