Various areas of Giza governorate witnessed heavy rains a short time ago in the Haram and Faisal regions.
The Meteorological Authority announced that the expected rains in Cairo and the rest of the governorates will be greater than the amount of rain that fell last October.
Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Authority, said in a press conference today, that the northern and mountainous regions will have more severe rains, explaining that this condition is normal, as we are at the end of winter, and that period is characterized by fluctuating weather conditions, explaining that This situation is similar to what happened in 1994.
And the Cabinet decided, at its meeting today, headed by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, to grant paid employees, government, public and private sectors, and public business, leave on Thursday, due to bad weather conditions expected tomorrow, in light of what was presented by Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Ati, Minister of Resources Water and Irrigation, regarding the latest update of rainfall forecasts.
