The remaining curriculum parts (which were to be taught after the decision to suspend studies for all educational years) will be completed in the following academic year. As for the third year of secondary school students, it has been agreed with the Ministry of Higher Education that it be taught in the introductory year for all colleges.

– The first and second secondary grades: The electronic exams will include everything the student has studied in the second semester until March 15, 2020 (beginning of suspension of study), and only the experimental test contract (scheduled to be held on April 5, 2020) is sufficient for students of the first secondary class only from home, and will be divided Students into groups throughout the day to enter the examination platform.

– The third secondary class: The exams will include everything the student studied in the academic year (the first semester + the second semester until March 15, 2020), while adhering to the announced schedule for the end-of-year exams, and taking all preventive measures that guarantee the safety of our student children and increasing the number of committees.

Preparatory stage certificate (third preparatory grade): a research project for the second semester is sufficient to present and is considered a condition for success and the student (after his success in the project) gets the result of the second semester complete 100%, and the coordination of the transition to the next educational stage (general secondary / technical) will be total The first and second semesters together.

And Dr. Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education and Technical Education, announced several measures for students of technical education, as follows:

The period from 18 to 23 April 2020 (technical education students and students of applied technology schools): assigning students to carry out distance learning activities, including research, projects and applied studies, implementing designs using specialized computer programs, and preparing presentations accompanying educational activities.

From April 26 to June 15, 2020: Each student prepares a combined file of the educational activities that he accomplished, and the student submits the file to his school after finishing its preparation, and posting the practical application of practical and applied murals until the student comes to school three weeks before the start of the new school year.

The final results for the transfer students will be issued based on the educational activities file that the student submits, and his performance in the practical activities that will take place three weeks before the start of the new academic year, in addition to the results of the first semester.

The minister’s decisions also included international schools (British diploma, and the American diploma), and the decisions were as follows:

First – British testimony:

– From first to ninth grade: Conduct a research project through the school administration to move to the higher grade.

Grades (6, 8, and 9): The British Council addresses the test boards to return the fees for the prescribed tests.

Grades (10, 11, and 12): The Ministry is contacting the British Council to determine the method of evaluation.

– For national examinations: from grade 1 to 11 a research project is carried out to move to the higher grade, and for students of grade 12 they are tested with the tests for the third year of general secondary as followed.

Second: The American Diploma:

From the first to the twelfth grade: Conducting a research project in contact with the school administration in addition to the first semester exams, as a condition for moving to the higher grade.

Grade 12 and university enrollment, divided into two parts:

* For students who did not pass the SAT exam: the GPA represents 100% of the total for admission to the university, and an admission examination is held by the Ministry of Higher Education in the qualifying subjects according to each major.

* For students who have passed the SAT exam, the student chooses between joining the university according to the criteria of last year (the GPA is 40% and the SAT is 60%), or the GPA represents 100% of the total university entrance.

– For students wishing to enroll in science colleges: The student must have completed the qualifications for the target specialization, or the student must pass the SAT ll exam according to the criteria of last year.

– For national exams: from grade 1 to 11 a research project is carried out and added to the results of the first semester exams for the transition to the higher grade, and for students of grade 12 they are tested with the tests for the third year secondary school as followed.

The Minister of Education and Technical Education also announced the details of the research projects required of the students, as follows:

– April 2, 2020: The general framework of the required research project and how to correct it will be announced, and students will be assigned the required research projects on April 5, 2020.

The minister warned against cheating among students in project work (research), saying: “Identical projects (research) will be excluded, because this is illegal and immoral.”
