The “BN Sports” satellite channel revealed that the Confederation of African Football “CAF” reached an official decision to postpone the Champions League and the Confederations indefinitely indefinitely, due to the Corona virus pandemic.
According to the set schedule, Zamalek was expected to play against Raja, while the second semi-final will be between Al-Ahly and Wydad Casablanca in early May, while May 29 was set as the final date, but the matches were postponed to an unspecified date.
And PN Sports published a statement attributed to the African Union in which it said: “After exchanging information with the World Health Organization, it appears that the situation in Africa is still very unstable, even if the continent is in relatively good condition.”
The statement continued: “Everyone has the responsibility to participate actively in combating the spread of this epidemic, which may have a more serious impact on our continent than anywhere else.”
He added: “We encourage all Africans to adhere strictly to the recommendations of the World Health Organization as well as the instructions of local authorities.”
