Major General Mohamed Abdel Maksoud, head of the Crisis Management Chamber of the Council of Ministers, revealed the features of the third stage of the state’s plan to counter the spread of the Corona virus.
He said during a phone conversation with the “Al-Hayat Al-Youm” program, on Wednesday evening, that in the event of the implementation of the third stage, there is a plan to enter university and private hospitals, hotels, centers and schools that have been prepared to implement the quarantine there, in addition to 29 quarantine hospitals that entered the second stage.
He explained that the government is moving within the framework of its plan, which is based on 3 phases. Last week, the state started entering the second phase, which included sterilization, disinfection, fortifying the home front, and supporting the medical sector.
Major General Mohamed Abdel Maksoud added: The daily infection rate of the new corona virus and the lack of commitment of citizens, may push the state to implement the third stage to confront the spread of the virus. He stressed, “We do not want to reach this stage, and we had hoped that we would not exceed 500 injuries this week, so that we do not reach one thousand injuries next week.”
Abdul Maqsoud explained that with the arrival of a thousand injuries, the calculation of numbers begins with a geometric progression, not numerical, because it is possible to increase a thousand injuries to 2500 on the third day.
