Kiyanosh Jahanpur, a spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, told state television on Thursday that the death toll from the Corona virus reached 3136 people after recording 124 new deaths in the past 24 hours, adding that the number of infections reached 50,468 cases.
“We have 3,956 injured people in critical condition. There are 2875 new infections in the past 24 hours. 16,711 have recovered from the disease,” he added.
On Sunday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had warned that “Coved-19” might remain in place for a year or two.
