Corona virus infection in the Institute of Cancer medical staff increased to 17 cases

An official statement issued by Cairo University revealed that the number of cases infected with the Corna virus at the Oncology Institute amounted to 17 cases from doctors and the nursing staff of the Institute.

On Friday, the university announced that 15 cases had been infected until midnight, three doctors, and the rest from nursing.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Alam El-Din, a spokesman for Cairo University, said that the university decided to appoint two new teams to fight infection and quality at the institute, to take over the management of the file during the next stage in light of the follow-up with the technical committee formed by Dr. Mohamed Othman El-Khasht, President of the University; To review all applicable medical protocols in the areas of infection control and ensure safety for medical personnel, workers, and patients reluctant.

He explained that the institute has dealt with the crisis since its inception, as the central laboratories of the Ministry of Health have been informed to conduct analyzes of suspected cases of coronavirus, in addition to isolating cases that have been proven infected and those who have close contact with them as soon as the infection is confirmed.
