The source, who preferred not to be named, said: “Zamalek was in negotiations with Mahmoud Al-Badri last January at the request of junior sector officials at the club.”
“But in the end the negotiations were not completed, they stopped and then the player renewed his contract with Ismaili,” he added in his remarks with FilGoal.com.
He continued, “Mahmoud Al-Badry’s dream is to be with Egypt’s Olympic team in the upcoming Olympics.”
The 21-year-old left-back is practicing alone in the program that was developed by the Dervish technical staff during the cessation of activity.
Al-Badri appeared remarkably since his escalation from Al-Shabab to the first team in Ismailia, before the latter decided to extend the player’s contract to remain in the team for the next five seasons.
Al-Badri participated in 11 games with Ismaili this season, before activity in Egypt stopped.
