Health: 6.6% of corona deaths and 19.5% recover from the disease


Ministry of Health and Population data confirmed that the death rates affected by the Corona virus reached 6.6%, while the percentage of cases that recovered and were discharged from hospitals out of a total of 1560 cases was 19.5%.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that 29 of those infected with the Corona virus have been discharged from the isolation hospital, including two foreigners, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to WHO’s instructions.

The Ministry of Health and Population explained that the number of cases whose results of laboratory transformation from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) increased to 439 cases, or 28%, of whom the 305 were recovering.

The ministry added that 110 new cases were recorded that showed positive laboratory analyzes of the virus, including two foreigners, as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 9 cases.

The Ministry of Health and Population said that all registered cases of HIV positive in isolation hospitals are subject to medical care, according to WHO guidelines.

The Ministry reiterated not to monitor any cases infected or suspected of being infected with the new Corona virus in all governorates of the Republic except what has been announced, indicating that once any infections appear, they will be announced immediately, in full transparency according to international health regulations, and in coordination with the World Health Organization.

The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates, follow the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona” virus, and take all necessary precautions against any viruses or infectious diseases, as the hotline “105” and “15335” has been allocated to receive citizens’ inquiries about a virus Corona emerging and infectious diseases.
