Muhammad Sa`fan, Minister of Manpower, received an urgent report from the Ministry of Labor Representation at the Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh, according to the death of an Egyptian citizen who was working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as a result of being infected with the Corona virus.
According to today’s statement, Ahmed Rajaei, the labor advisor in Riyadh, said that the deceased citizen was called Hussam Ismail Muhammad Darwish, explaining that his wife and daughter were also infected with the virus.
Rajaei added that the burial procedures were completed, in cooperation with the consular affairs of the embassy, and the funeral prayer was performed at the deceased, and he was buried in Buraidah burial sites in Al-Qassim, noting that his wife, Dr. Madiha Fakhri, Professor of Education at the Qaseem University, and his daughter were also infected with the virus and are currently quarantined to receive treatment, We pray to the Almighty God to grant them recovery.
For his part, Haitham Saad El-Din, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Manpower said that the minister instructed the labor advisor to follow up the deceased’s dues, and to provide the ministry with a report of that immediately.
This comes within the immediate follow-up framework of the Minister for Egyptians abroad through the operating room established in the representative offices to answer any inquiries, and provide support and assistance to them at any time, especially in that critical period after the spread of the Corona virus.
