Syed Abdul Hafeez, Al-Ahly’s football director, announced that the club refused the participation of Ahmed Al-Sheikh, the team player in the “FIFA Electronic Games” championship, which will be held from April 21 to 25.
Al-Ahly’s official website stated that Al-Ahly’s refusal came because the authority responsible for nominating the players to represent Egypt did not address the club and obtain its approval.
He added: “Ahmed Al Sheikh is a professional player in the club’s soccer team, and his right to play the game remains hobbyist without the right to take the matter out of the official international competitions.”
And eat: “These matters need other controls and criteria, the club must be aware of and familiar with, to take what it deems appropriate to maintain the spherical system of work.”
Al-Ahly indicated that Ahmed Al-Sheikh officially informed the party that is nominating the players not to participate in the tournament, in light of the above.
Ahmed Al-Sheikh apologized during statements to Masrawy, for not participating in the electronic games championship organized by the International Football Association “FIFA”. (See details)
