Only 5 deliveries .. King Salman allows Tarawih prayers to be held in the Two Holy Mosques


The Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, agreed to hold Tarawih prayers in the Two Holy Mosques.

The General Presidency of the Sacred Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced the issuance of King Salman’s approval to establish the Tarawih prayers at the Two Holy Mosques and reduce them to five deliveries, while continuing to suspend the attendance of worshipers.

The head of the affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, announced the establishment of Tarawih prayers in the Two Holy Mosques, with the continued suspension of the attendance of worshipers so that there would be only 5 deliveries.

This is part of the Kingdom’s precautionary measures to tackle the emerging Covid-19 virus.

In another context, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Propagation launched an interpretation project in English and French, to recite the imams of the Two Holy Mosques in my Tarawih prayers and to pray throughout the month of Ramadan on Saudi channels.
