Tunisian press reports revealed that the Tunisian Esperance Department has placed French Patrice Carteron as a candidate to train the “Bab Souika” team in the coming period, to be the successor to the national coach, Mouin Chaabani.
According to the Tunisian newspaper “Al-Shorouk”, the most prominent candidates to lead Esperance Patrice Carteron due to what he has achieved with Zamalek so far along with his ability and tactical prowess, which he showed during his matches against the Tunisian champion, whether with Al-Ahly and Zamalek or Moroccan Raja Casablanca.
The newspaper pointed out that the Zamalek administration did not resolve the renewal with Cartier because of the approaching end of his contract, which ends at the end of the current season.
Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek club, had made statements on the “Zamalek” screen that he would enter into negotiations with the French coach in order to renew his contract with the White Castle.
Carteron so far with Zamalek was able to combine the African and Egyptian Super Championship, where he beat Tunisias Esperance (3-1) in Qatar, in return he won the victory over Al-Ahly with a penalty shootout after the end of the game in its original time with a negative tie without any goals in a meeting held in the UAE capital Abu Antelope.
On the African level, Carteron led Zamalek to reach the golden square of the African Champions League after eliminating the defending champion in the last two versions, by defeating Esperance by three goals against two goals in the total round-trip.
Zamalek is scheduled to meet Raja Casablanca in the semi-final, with the second party facing the Al-Ahly competition in Moroccan club Casablanca.
