Syed Abdul Hafeez, Al-Ahly’s football manager, was acquitted of the lack of renewal of Ahmed Fathi, the team’s player, to the club during a session that gathered the duo in Ain Sukhna.
Abdel Hafeez explained that this file is within the competence of the club’s football planning committee, which is headed by Mohsen Saleh and includes in its membership Zakaria Nasif and Khaled Bebo, along with Amir Tawfiq, the club’s contract manager.

For his part, Sayed Abdel Hafeez responded to Ahmed Fathi, saying, “I have nothing to do with the club’s delay in renewing you … I only execute orders and I do not have powers to speak to any player on such important issues except before referring to the club president Mahmoud Khatib and the Planning Committee, Ahmed Fathi, football director, stressed that he was innocent of the non-renewal crisis.
