Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, said that the Egyptian ports are operating at full capacity and over the course of 24 hours and that Egyptian trucks have not stopped their work in transporting vegetables and foodstuffs to Jordan, Iraq and the Gulf countries.
The Minister added, during a phone conversation with the program “Facts and Secrets” broadcast on the channel “Sada Al-Balad” today, Thursday, that he phoned President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi two days ago to inform him that 600 Egyptian trucks had stopped at the port of Nuweiba and President Sisi asked him to contact Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister To address his Jordanian counterpart to solve the problem and cross Egyptian trucks.
The Minister of Transport added that 616 Egyptian and Jordanian trucks were inspected the day before yesterday in the port of Nuweiba and put them in quarantine and sent an analysis of 7 drivers of these trucks to the hospital on suspicion of being infected with Corona virus, pointing out that the drivers were not infected with Corona.
