Qais Achour, the spokesperson for the Tunisian Coastal Club, confirmed that there has been no communication from Al-Ahly and Zamalek about the team player and Wajdi as a newspaper.
Al-Ahly and Zamalek are currently studying the possibility of strengthening the right front during the coming period.
The spokesman for the coastal star said in statements to “Al-Nahar” channel: “Until this time, there are no negotiations from Zamalek regarding Wajdi as a newspaper.”
He continued: “The players are not training at the moment because of Corona, and the activity is suspended. We do not know the fate of the competition. All this talk is premature.”
He added: “Even Zamalek does not know the fate of its matches and the mystery surrounding the competitions.”
He continued: “And at the moment also we have not received any communications from Al-Ahly regarding as a newspaper, there has been no communication with the club or the player.”
He added: “It is possible at the end of the season there will be negotiations and therefore we see what can happen.”
He stressed: “My grandfather, as a newspaper, has two seasons remaining in his contract, and there are no penal terms in the player’s contract with the star.”
He concluded: “As a newspaper that wants to professionalize in Europe, if there is an offer from Al-Ahly or Zamalek, we will study the best offer according to the interest of the club or the player, but there are no current negotiations.”
