In these days 18 years ago, Ahmed Hosam “Mido”, the former Egyptian national footballer, was on a date of one of his best scoring lives when he led Ajax Amsterdam to win 3 successive matches and clinched the Dutch League title 2001-2002 season.

During the entire season, Mido managed to score 12 goals in the League Championship, and half of that toll in just 19 days in April was enough to clinch the title.

While the competition was the most intense with Eindhoven, Mido managed to lead Ajax to victory over Juningen after he scored two goals in a thrilling match that ended in 4-3, in the meeting held on April 3.

Mido returned with his scoring record again in Ajax’s 4-0 victory over Sparta Rotterdam, where the Egyptian player scored 3 goals in the match and is the only hat-trick in his Dutch league record.

Then the sixth goal came with a very important victory over Utrecht with the meeting, which ended with a clean goal.

Midos positivity did not stop after that, he made in the last two matches of the team a goal against Den Bush, then scored a goal and made another in May against Nijmegen by the end of the competition.

Ajax Amsterdam managed to win the Dutch league title after collecting 73 points, compared to 68 for Eindhoven.
