A former Mexican soccer player, Manuel Negretti, 61, has announced that he has developed the Coronavirus, and that he is currently undergoing home isolation until he recovers from the disease.
Negretti wrote on his official Twitter page: “I would like to announce that the result of my Covid-19 test was positive. I am in good shape at home and follow medical recommendations.”

It is noteworthy that the goal of Negretti, who scored it against Bulgaria in the final round of the World Cup in Mexico in 1986 (the match ended with two clean goals) was chosen as the most beautiful goal in the history of the World Cup, according to a referendum conducted by the FIFA.
Negretti began his professional football career in 1979 with the Mexican team Pumas Onam and then played for Sporting Lisbon and Spain’s Gijon before returning to play with several Mexican clubs.
