Italy’s plans to resume Serie A competitions were complicated, after Fiorentina announced a number of Corona injuries inside the club.

Fiorentina, the Serie A club, said on Thursday that 3 of its players and 3 technical staff had been infected with the Corona virus.

Before returning to training, the team was tested after a two-month hiatus due to the pandemic in Italy.

Fiorentina did not reveal the names of the players and said that he would allow the rest of the squad to have optional individual training.

The club said: “The club, according to the health protocol, isolated the injured.”

He added, “Tomorrow morning (Friday), the rest of the group will undergo medical and fitness tests before the start of the optional exercises on the field.”

The Italian government gave the league clubs the green light to resume training this week as part of measures to ease restrictions on general isolation, although players can only practice individual exercises.

Al-Douri hopes to resume activity in May or June, but it depends on the government’s approval.
