The “Opta” network of numbers and statistics has published a list of the players who contribute the most goals through scoring and making goals together, within the five major European leagues from the 2017-18 season until now.
The Argentine star Lionel Messi, Barcelona captain, topped the list of the most participating players in the goals in European leagues, with 126 goals, beating the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool striker.
The “Pharaoh” finished second with 94 goals, knowing that he joined the ranks of the “Reds” beginning in the 2017-18 season, meaning that the mentioned statistic was calculated since Salah joined the English team.

Third came Italy’s Lazio Shiro Imobelli with 93 goals.
It is worth noting that Salah scored 20 goals during his participation in 40 games in various tournaments with Liverpool during this season, before the league stopped due to the Covid-19 virus.
The 27-year-old scored 16 goals in the Premier League to finish third on the competition’s scorer list, one goal behind runner-up Pierre Emerica Aubameyang with 17 goals, and three goals from leader Jimmy Vardy, Leicester’s star with 19.
