Reports: Liverpool threatened to play in the English Premier League on neutral pitches


English press reports revealed that the Liverpool team, which includes the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, is threatened with running the remaining matches in the current season of English Premier League 2019 – 2020, on neutral stadiums, especially as they are classified among the high-risk matches, next to the derby games, in light of the current crisis of the outbreak of the new Corona virus, for fear of crowding crowds.

The English newspaper “Times” said that the Liverpool matches, in addition to the derby confrontations in the English Premier League, may play in neutral courts, with the resumption of the current season of the Premier League in the middle of next June.

The newspaper added that officials consider the Reds’ matches, which remain in the current season of the English Premier League, of high risk, for fear of crowd crowds, with the team approaching the title of the competition for the first time after an absence of 30 years.

The newspaper pointed out that the next Premier League meeting, scheduled for the fourth of next June, will be voted on whether or not these matches will be played on neutral stadiums.

The English press reports, have indicated that the English Premier League has agreed with the clubs, to resume the current season beginning on June 17.

The professional Liverpool team, within its ranks, leads the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the English league ranking table, with 82 points, 25 points ahead of his nearest competitors, Manchester City, the runner-up with 57 points, after 29 rounds, with 9 rounds remaining at the end of the competition.
