According to English press reports, the British government has given the green light to the Premier League, to resume the Premier League next June.
According to the British newspaper “Telegraph”, the English Premier League has received a strong moral boost from the British government after submitting plans for the return of the championship in June.
The newspaper added that the Prime Minister will disclose tomorrow, in Parliament, details of breaking the embargo imposed in Britain, and will present a restart project for sport.
The newspaper noted that Johnson’s move would give the green light for sports to return next month, including the resumption of the Premier League championship on June 12, subject to meeting safety requirements and not having high rates of coronavirus infection.
The newspaper added that the players will return to training next Monday before the matches start again on June 12 or 13.
The newspaper concluded its report that it will be prepared to return through hygiene and social divergence procedures in the places of training fields and matches that take place without an audience, with only 300 people present during the matches.
