Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, reviewed the current situation of efforts to confront the “emerging corona virus” in Egypt, with regard to the total number of infected people, new cases, the number of healing cases, and cases whose outcome has turned from positive to negative, and the number of new deaths, as well Than the total number of deaths so far.

She explained that the electronic system through which all available hospitals and clinical capacity are clarified according to specialization, whether internal, care or respiratory devices.
Dr. Hala Zayed examined the efforts of the complaints and proposals system on the 105th hotline for preventive medicine sector services at the Ministry of Health, where the average reception volume for communications on this line reached 3650 calls per day during the last week, including about 3000 inquiries, 200 communications and 450 complaints and proposals.
The minister also reviewed the importance of using a “catcher” medicinal to avoid infection with the Corona virus, pointing to a study conducted to demonstrate the importance of its use, as this study showed that reducing the spread of the disease is through reducing mixing and following a policy of social divergence, and wearing a “catcher”.
Dr. Hala Zayed indicated that the American Center for Epidemiology and Prevention (CDC) has issued recommendations that confirm that citizens can use convictions made of fabric, as it helps to slow the spread of the virus, especially in public places where it is difficult to maintain precautionary measures such as grocery stores and pharmacies Means of transportation, as the center recommended not to put face cloths on children under the age of two, or anyone who has difficulty breathing, unconscious, incapable or unable to remove the mask without assistance.
