The director of Al-Zahra University Hospital resigns and is subject to domestic isolation


Dr. Sayed Qadah, Director of Al-Zahra University Hospital, affiliated with Al-Azhar University, submitted his resignation, where he is now subject to domestic isolation, after the spread of the Coronavirus among medical staff and management.

Dr. Taghreed Abd Al-Rahman, Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the University of Al-Azhar Girlss Doctor of Medicine, was appointed Director General of the hospital, succeeding Dr. Syed Kaddah.For his part, Dr. Abbas Shoman, the former deputy of Al-Azhar, thanked the medical staff in general, and the medical staff at Al-Azhar Specialist Hospital headed by Dr. Muhammad Ajaj.

He stressed the absence of deaths, the improvement of most cases, and 4 cases were discharged after full recovery. He also pointed out that the hospital applies the latest treatment and care protocols in force globally.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Mahrasawi, President of Al-Azhar University, had decided earlier to temporarily close Al-Zahra University Hospital, after positive cases of Corona virus were proven in various internal departments, and the hospital would be completely sterilized, and take preventive measures in this regard.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Seddik, Vice President of Al-Azhar University, Director of Hospitals, confirmed positive cases among the medical staff of Corona virus at Al-Zahra University Hospital, adding that he is conducting smears for patients, and the hospital is completely sterilized.
