Books – Youssef Afifi:

A source at the Ministry of Tourism revealed the fate of tourist reservations in hotels, villages and tourist resorts during Eid Al-Fitr.

The source explained, to Masrawy, that the tourist reservations will not witness any hikes in hotels after the new procedures and controls that the government recently adopted to restore the operation by 25% currently.

The source pointed out that the return of hotels to work is linked to the rates of corona infection in Egypt and the hotels ‘commitment to procedures, explaining that the ministry is conducting several rounds to discuss hotels’ readiness to return and study medical preparations.

And on health clubs inside hotels, the source confirmed that its work was stopped until further notice, indicating that a hotel will not return to work unless after approval approved that all the precautionary conditions are met.

The Ministry of Tourism announced, yesterday, that it had received 26 hotels, a health safety certificate, from four governorates: South Sinai, Red Sea, Alexandria and Matrouh, after fulfilling all health safety regulations and requirements approved by the Council of Ministers in accordance with the standards of the World Health Organization, to allow hotels wishing to operate to receive inmates.

The ministry contracted with 3 foreign companies to periodically follow up on hotels that are permitted to operate, as the new controls ensure a gradual restoration of life in the sector.

And the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities called on citizens and tourism companies to limit dealing with hotels that have obtained a health safety certificate, and not others.
