Angolan agent Ariel Babel, Jesse Rodriguez, revealed the August 1 team winger, the scenes of his approach to Zamalek.
“Ariel Babel is a free player right now since last month,” Rodriguez said in televised comments on “On Time Sports”.
“There is communication and Zamalek is already in negotiations with us and things are going well,” he added, speaking about Ari Babel’s position with Zamalek.
And he added: “The Corona virus is the one that prevented the development of the negotiations in the desired way, and until now the player has not signed for Zamalek, but White is the team that the player wants to represent.”
He continued: “It remains for the medical examination and signing of the contracts, but at this moment Corona prevents the player from being in Cairo to complete the procedures.”
He continued: “The management of Zamalek is professional and they show great interest and discussions are going well for the player, and in the near future if things go as they are, he will wear the Zamalek shirt.”
He continued: “Ari Babel plays in more than one center, such as right or left wing or second spearhead.”
He added: “At this moment there are many offers for the player from different clubs, but the best option for us is Zamalek.”
He continued, revealing the reason for the player’s departure from the Portuguese Sporting Lisbon team: “Babylon did very well there, and he played 70% of the matches in Team B but did not reach the main team.”
He concluded: “Babylon appreciates the Egyptian league, and loves the passion of the Egyptian fans for football, and he seeks to take a step that he will not regret later on, which is joining Zamalek.”
