A statement of the French Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs, Friday, mentioned France On June 15, restrictions on its borders for travelers from European Union countries will be lifted.
“In light of the favorable development in the health situation in France and Europe and in accordance with the recommendations of the European Commission … France will lift on June 15 all restrictions imposed on its borders in front of European internal traffic (land, air and sea) that was applied to fight the Covid-19 epidemic,” the statement said.
The statement added that travelers from member states of the European Union as well as from Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican will be able to enter the French territory without restrictions.
The statement pointed out that the restrictions on imposing a two-week quarantine upon arrival will continue at the borders with Spain and the United Kingdom in accordance with the principle of reciprocity.
The French government had hoped that on July 10, it would put an end to the health emergency in force in the country since the end of March to reduce the outbreak of the new Corona virus, stressing “the development of a positive health situation at the current stage.”
