Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek Club, officially announced the club’s board’s decision unanimously not to complete the Premier League competition for the 2019-2020 season.
Murtada Mansour had announced earlier on the Zamalek club channel that he would announce the final decision regarding the league after the board meeting with French coach, Patrice Cartier. (See details here)
According to the official page of Murtada Mansour via “Facebook” and also the official website of Zamalek Club, the board of directors decided not to complete the league.
Zamalek’s statement came as follows:
The club’s board of directors, headed by Counselor Mortada Mansour, unanimously decided not to complete the Premier League competition this season.
The decision came after a meeting with coach Patrice Carteron, the coach.
The Zamalek channel will broadcast on the Zamalekawi program at ten in the evening, details of the meeting, with video and audio.
Today, Wednesday, the Egyptian Football Federation headquarters witnessed the meeting of the members of the five-year committee with officials of technical clubs in the presence of Cartier in order to discuss all arrangements for completing the league this season.
Nader Saad, a spokesman for the Council of Ministers, previously confirmed that the state’s decision pertains to completing the league and cup competition for the current season, and Jamal Muhammad Ali, vice chairman of the quinquennial committee, stressed that the return of the league is an irreversible decision and the coaches will be discussed on technical matters related to completion.
