Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, issued today a decision that next Thursday, July 2, 2020, will be a paid official leave, on the occasion of the anniversary of the June 30 revolution, instead of Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

The decision stipulated that this leave be granted to workers in ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administration units, public sector companies, the public business sector and the private sector.

The decision also stipulated that this leave does not apply to all examinations work in schools, institutes, and universities, and will continue according to the prescribed dates.

Counselor Nader Saad, the spokesperson for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that the decision to grant official leave on Thursday instead of Tuesday comes in the framework of the government’s keenness to provide more opportunity for citizens; To spend a vacation related to the weekend, and invest it as they wish, noting that the coming period will witness the expansion of the application of this system so that the next Thursday on the occasion for which the leave is scheduled, is considered an official holiday, instead of the holidays that happen in the middle of the week, with the exception of holidays for Eid Al Fitr Eid al-Adha and Christmas.
