The Saudi Ministry of Hajj announced that it was decided to conduct the Hajj this year, but in very limited numbers, due to the outbreak of the new Corona pandemic, according to what the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj said in a statement today, Monday, quoted by the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA” that, due to the world witnessing an outbreak of the new Corona virus (COFED-19) in more than 180 countries around the world, the number of deaths affected by it is nearly half a million cases Deaths, and more than 7 million injuries worldwide.
He continued: “Based on what the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia explained about the continuing risks of this pandemic and the lack of vaccine and treatment for people infected with the virus around the world and to maintain global health security, especially with the high rate of infections in most countries according to reports issued by international health authorities and research centers and centers And because of the seriousness of the spread of infection and injury in human settlements, which is difficult to provide a safe spacing between its members .. And based on the Kingdom’s constant keenness to enable the guests of the Sacred House of God and the visitors of the Mustafa Mosque, may God bless him and grant him peace, to perform the rituals of Hajj and Umrah in safety, health and safety, I have been keen since the beginning of the injuries Corona virus, and the transmission of infection to some countries; to take precautionary measures to protect the guests of the Rahman, by suspending the arrival of pilgrims and caring for pilgrims present in the Holy Land, where this decision met with Muslim and international countries for its great contribution in facing the pandemic globally, and in support of the efforts of countries and organizations International health in the prevention of the spread of the virus.
The Ministry confirmed that in light of the continuation of this pandemic, the seriousness of the spread of infection in gatherings, human crowds, and movements between countries of the world, and the increase in rates of injuries globally, it has been decided to establish a pilgrimage this year in 1441 AH with very limited numbers for those wishing to perform pilgrimage rituals for different nationalities who are inside the Kingdom; This is in order to ensure the ritual establishment in a safe and healthy manner, in order to achieve the requirements of prevention and social separation necessary to ensure the safety of the human being and protect him from the threats of this pandemic, and to achieve the purposes of Islamic law in preserving the human soul.
Saudi Arabia confirmed that this decision comes from its constant concern for the security and safety of the people of the Two Holy Mosques until their return to their countries.
