President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the importance of attaching the utmost importance to students ’intellectual and educational building, including raising awareness of the correct understanding of the principles and teachings of religions and the freedom of belief and tolerance and acceptance of difference, and interest in sports activities and sound physical construction, within the framework of the strategic approach of the state to build the Egyptian person from All aspects and academic refinement, knowledge and health.
President Al-Sisi also directed the expansion of the use of e-learning applications and the mechanization of teaching aids, through the joint coordination between the ministries of education and communications, while extracting and evaluating lessons learned in this framework from dealing with the Corona pandemic experience, and what it imposed from resorting to modern communication platforms and harnessing technology to advance the educational process , With the aim of supporting the state’s efforts to make a quantum leap in the education system.
This came during President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s meeting today with Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, in the presence of Major General Mohamed Amin, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Financial Affairs, Dr. Mervat El-Deeb, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Nile Certification Unit, and Dr. Slafah Goueli is director of the Nile International Certification Unit.
The spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Bassam Radi, said that the meeting dealt with following up the efforts of the Ministry of Education with regard to a comprehensive and integrated modernization of the basic education system in its various stages.
Dr. Tariq Shawky reviewed the progress of work in the general secondary exams for the current academic year, which are attended by about 1.5 million students and half a million employees of the educational cadre, especially with regard to accurate and integrated precautionary measures taken by the Ministry, in coordination with the Ministries of Health, Defense and Interior And including the procedures related to providing preventive supplies for students and observers, organizing the process of entry and exit of students from the committees, and applying social divergence within them, and daily sterilization of the committees before and after the exams, where the minister stressed that Egypt is one of the few countries in the world that have been able to complete the academic year in all its stages In light of the Corona pandemic, which is mainly due to the efficiency of the modern electronic system for distance education in Egypt.
The Minister of Education also presented the executive position of the technological infrastructure of the new education system, including the new evaluation system at the general secondary level through electronic tests using tablets and interconnection networks, in parallel with the expansion of distance education through the development of the educational electronic communication platform, especially By creating a digital library to provide educational materials, as well as continuing to improve the content and role of the knowledge bank, which is witnessing an increasing demand as a national platform for science, knowledge and scientific research in Egypt.
The Minister also reviewed programs and projects related to the process of developing education, such as teacher training programs, the establishment of new schools such as Japanese schools and schools for people with special needs, the preparation of new educational methods and curriculum development in partnership with specialized international bodies with long-standing experience in this field.
The meeting also witnessed a review of the education system in the Egyptian Nile schools, which granted an Egyptian educational certificate in accordance with international standards, where President Sisi directed the development of the system of those schools in an institutional framework that achieves the desired academic goals, as an added value to the educational system in the country.
