The Media Center of the Council of Ministers contacted the Ministry of Awqaf, which denied these reports, confirming that it is not correct to waste 6 billion pounds to renew the mosques closed during the Corona pandemic.

She explained that the 6 billion pounds is the total of what the ministry spent over the past 6 years from 2014 to 2020, to replace, renovate and rebuild mosques that were closed to their gravity, as well as the maintenance, restoration and furnishing of all mosques at the republic level, including ancient mosques.
