Walid Karti, the Moroccan athletic club, Wydad, confirmed that he had permanently closed the file of his professionalism in an Arab club, pointing out that he does not consider joining any Arab or African club, whatever the temptations.
The club is the target of more than one Arab club, led by Zamalek and its French coach, Patrice Carteron, who wants to include the 25-year-old during the next summer transfer period.
During statements carried by the Moroccan newspaper “le 360” Sport, Al-Karti said that he aspires to professionalize Europe, noting that he received some offers from the Arab Gulf and Egypt during the recent times, but he rejected all of them because of his desire for European professionalism.
Al-Karti praised Saeed Al-Nasiri, President of Wydad Athletic, and his former coach, Hussein Amouta, stressing that they helped him greatly in regaining his form after he had lost his place in the basic formation of the Red Team.
Al-Karti joined the ranks of Wydad at the start of the 2013/2014 season, coming from Olympique Kharbika. The 25-year-old contributed to crowning his team with three local league titles, the African Champions League and Super Africa.
