US company “Moderna” plans to start clinical trials at a final stage of testing a vaccine for the Corona virus on July 27.

White House health adviser Anthony Fuchi said it was good news.

The total number of coronavirus cases worldwide has exceeded 13.4 million, and the number of deaths has exceeded 580,000.

Given the scale this pandemic assumes at a rapid pace, pharmaceutical companies and scientists are working overtime for pressure to come up with a vaccine as soon as possible.

There are currently more than 100 vaccines in various stages of development worldwide, including in India, Britain, China, the United States, Russia and Israel.

According to the World Health Organization, there are currently at least 21 vaccines undergoing major trials.

Fauchi had questioned the possibility of an effective vaccine before the end of this year, saying that “there is no guarantee that the United States will have an effective vaccine against the emerging corona virus by the beginning of next year.”

“Scientists are cautiously optimistic that we will know how effective it is” by that time, “Fauchi said in testimony before Congress.

Fauchi added that he is concerned about the high number of injuries in more than half of the US states, including Arizona, Florida and Texas.

He explained that there is an alarming “phenomenon of all or nothing”, as states are either closed entirely or reopened quickly only to see people pile up in bars and ignore all public health recommendations.

And my discussion is among the most prominent members of the American President Donald Trump’s task force on combating the emerging coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Fauchi said that public health measures, such as wearing a mask, social divergence, and hand washing frequently, should be adhered to, explaining that these measures are necessary for a safe reopening of the economy.
