Fadel said in press statements: “Egypt is the only country that has submitted an official request to the African Union to host matches supported by the government guarantee letter, and no other country has made a similar request.”
“Therefore, Egypt was supposed to obtain the rights to organize, but enough decided to restore matters to their normal form, to play matches in the round-trip system, in order to provide the principle of equal opportunities between the four clubs Al-Ahly, Zamalek, Al-Raja and Wedad.”
Fadl added, “Therefore, by applying the same argument and establishing the principle of equal opportunities, we submitted an official request to CAF to hold the Confederacy matches in the return and return leg, and that the final will not take place in Morocco and in a neutral stadium, especially that the other semi-final includes Hassania Agadir and Nahdet Berkane, in exchange for Pyramids or Horia Conakry.”
And he completed “all this to support all Egyptian teams in the Champions League or the Confederation.”
