Club Monaco announced on Sunday the dismissal of its Spanish coach, Robert Moreno.

“The club announces that Robert Moreno has been excused from the team’s training,” Monaco said in a statement.

“The Spanish coach informed us of this decision on Saturday during the management meeting with him,” added the statement, issued by Club Vice President Oleg Petrov.

“We separated earlier than expected, but we would like to thank Robert Moreno for accepting the challenge of leading the team,” he added.

“Robert has done everything in his power to develop the team with enthusiasm, and we wish him well in the future.”

Moreno took the lead in coaching Monaco in January 2020, coaching the team in 13 games, winning 5 games and losing similar ones, and drawing 3.

The French Emirate team ranked ninth in the French league table before being canceled due to the spread of Corona virus.
