Google has launched 10 augmented reality filters for dinosaurs for Android and iOS users, and this feature allows you to transform your garden or living room into a “fantasy world of huge objects”, and augmented reality dinosaurs, which can be accessed via Google Search – depend on the designs that appeared in the ” Jurassic World Alive “, a game developed by the Montreal-based company.
“Watch the huge creatures in your living room, or look at the magnificent Brachiosaurus dinosaur species as it rises above a tree,” wrote Archana Kannan, director of product for Google’s AR experience group.
The product manager added: “Search for a dinosaur on Google using a mobile device and press” 3D View to rotate or enlarge it and see it closely. ”
He explained, “You can then bring the dinosaur to your space using AR and adjust its size in relation to the things around you.”
Android users can raise the volume of their device to hear the roar of each dinosaur and its dimmed steps.
Leading artist Ludia Camilo Sannin said: “To create 3D dinosaurs, concept artists first conducted initial research to discover information about each creature.”
He added: “We have not only extracted research from various artistic forms, but also our artists worked with paleontologists to make the origins as accurate and realistic as possible,” stressing: “Even the smallest details, such as skin color and patterns are important.”
The new augmented reality feature will include these types of dinosaurs, Jurassic World’s Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, Triceratops, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Pteranodon, and Parasaurolophus.
Also, according to Google, the dinosaurs posed a new technical challenge when compared to the company’s current augmented reality animals, given their sheer size.
They added: “The new auto scale feature on Android can now calculate the distance between your phone and the surface in your space and change the size of the dinosaur to fit the screen of your phone.”
