Hours after the former deputy Mubarak Al-Duwailah, he was investigated hours after the audio recordings related to the meeting that he had gathered with the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, published by the Qatari opposition resident in London, Khaled Al-Hill.
The agency conducted its investigations with Al-Duwailah, where it was charged with broadcasting false news and insulting the emir of the country, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, before his release, provided that the results of the investigations are submitted to the competent authorities, according to a security source told the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas.
Al-Duwailah was summoned earlier, against the background of circulating and publishing the records known as “Gaddafi Tent Records”, which were leaked from a meeting with the gathering of Gaddafi with leaders and Gulf figures, including the Dowailah, who is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, and who, based on these records, faced charges of conspiring with Gaddafi On Gulf security.
Al-Duwailah acknowledged the truth of the meeting, through a series of tweets he published several days ago, and pointed out that the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs was aware of the meeting and that he was compelled during the meeting to keep up with what Qaddafi put forward regarding the use of tribes to destabilize Gulf security, to know what is going on behind this proposal as well as the fear of his opposition in his tent.
Al-Duwailah confirmed that he informed Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad at the time of the course of the meeting, which he also conveyed to Saudi King King Salman bin Abdulaziz at the request of Sheikh Sabah, and this was denied by the two countries.
