The Minister of Industry: Converting cars model 2000 and beyond to work with gas as a condition of the motor’s efficiency

Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, said that taxis, owners and microbuses are being converted to gas work, confirming that President Sisi directed an inventory of all cars.

She continued, during a telephone interview with the journalist Ahmed Moussa, on the “On My Responsibility” program, broadcast on the Echo Channel, that the purpose of converting cars to work with gas is to improve the life of citizens

She added that cars that run on gasoline, which has not been in production for 20 years, will be converted to gas work, stressing that this will save the citizen 50% of what he spends on gasoline.

She explained that who uses gasoline at 4 thousand pounds per month, the same amount of gas will reach 2000 pounds, in addition to preserving the environment and exploiting gas discoveries.

She stressed that obsolete cars will be scrapped, and there are financing programs to give citizens new cars, explaining that cars that run on fuel cannot be converted to gas work.

The Minister of Trade and Industry pointed out that replacing cars in an integrated manner with new cars powered by gas with accessible financing systems for their owners.

She explained that there are financing programs with easy interest through banks to convert cars to work with gas, and that the conversion value of 8 to 12 thousand pounds will be paid in installments with small amounts on the gas bill.

And she added that there are 190 gas stations nationwide to convert cars to work with gas, and we are in the process of establishing another 366 stations at a cost of 6.7 billion pounds.

Nevin Jameh continued that the conditions for converting that the car did not take 20 years to manufacture, in addition to the motor being 75%.
