The World Health Organization is recording a record increase in daily infections with the worlds virus

The World Health Organization (WHO) said today, Saturday, that it recorded a record increase in daily infections of the emerging coronavirus around the world, an increase of 259848 over the past 24 hours.

The organization confirmed the increase in the number of deaths of the Corona virus in the world 7,360 within 24 hours, the largest daily increase since May 10.

The daily report said the largest increases were in the United States, Brazil, India and South Africa.

And the United States, which has more than 3.6 million confirmed infections, continues to witness huge daily jumps in its first wave of Covid-19 infection.

The United States set a world record for daily infections exceeding 77,000 new infections on Thursday, July 16th, while Sweden has recorded 77,281 overall cases since the start of the pandemic.

The pandemic has so far claimed the lives of more than 590,000 people in nearly seven months, heading towards the upper limit of globally recorded annual deaths from influenza.

Other countries severely affected by the virus have slowed its spread and started easing public isolation measures, while other regions such as Barcelona in Spain and Melbourne in Australia have begun to implement a second round of local public closure.

The World Health Organization said that the number of infection cases worldwide in the Coruna virus is almost three times the number of cases registered annually with acute influenza.
