A research team from Seoul Hospital of Suncheonhyang University in South Korea revealed evidence about the risks of patients who do not have symptoms of the new Corona virus, and found that the viral load of those without symptoms is just as high as people who cough and have a fever.
And because asymptomatic patients contained a large amount of viral load in their noses and throats, they were more likely to spread the disease.

In the study, published in JAMA Internal Medicine, the team analyzed the cases of 303 patients infected with the virus, between March 6 and 26.
All participants were quarantined at a community treatment center in Cheonan, South Korea – a city south of the capital, Seoul.
It was found that 63.7% of them had symptoms when entering isolation. Of the 36.3% of patients who had no symptoms, 21 participants developed symptoms during isolation.
The most common signs of infection include fever, cough, and shortness of breath, but they also include frequent shivering with chills and new loss of taste or smell.
Then the researchers studied cycle threshold (Ct) values ​​during testing, which indicate virus detection and a person’s viral load.
Ct values ​​among asymptomatic patients were very similar to those seen in symptomatic patients.
The team also analyzed negative shunt tests, which were performed by collecting samples from the upper and lower respiratory tracts, and were identified as negative when the result was negative.
The results showed that the viral loads of asymptomatic patients tended to decline a little more slowly over time, compared to patients without symptoms.
On the 14th day of isolation, 33.7% of those without negative symptoms were tested positive for coronavirus, compared to 29.6% of patients who showed symptoms.
By day 21, 75.2% of asymptomatic patients received negative test results, compared to 69.9% of symptomatic patients.
The average period from diagnosis to first passive conversion was 17 days for patients without symptoms and 19.5 days for patients with symptoms.
In addition, the team found no statistically significant differences in the amount of viral RNA between those with or without symptoms.
The authors wrote: “Many individuals with SARS-CoV-2 infection remained asymptomatic for a long time, and the viral load was similar to that of symptomatic patients.
