In turn, Dr. Nadia Talab, the regional advisor for immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases, at the World Health Organization, said that the organization is concerned with the need to provide the vaccine to all countries of the world.
She added: We are joining forces with a number of coalitions and organizations to develop a strategy to ensure that vaccines reach all countries of the world, especially the poor ones, in a way that ensures a fair distribution of vaccines in all countries of the world.
This came during the press conference held by the WHO Regional Office in the Eastern Mediterranean today, Wednesday, August 19, to review developments in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and to develop and distribute the vaccine.
The conference was keen to update the regional situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, an update on the efforts to develop and distribute the vaccine, and the International Day of Relief and Humanitarian Action 2020, in addition to answering the questions of journalists and media professionals.
