3 fire engines and a water tank to control the oil pipeline fire

Suez – Hussam El-Din Ahmed:

A fire broke out in a pipeline of petroleum products extending from Suez to eastern Cairo through the Katameya area, and civil defense units were pushed to control the fire.

Major General Ragab Abdel Aal, Director of Suez Security, received a notification today, Wednesday, from the head of the Ataqa Police Station, that a line of the Petroleum Pipeline Company had leaked and caught fire with petroleum materials.

Brigadier-General Bassem Samih directed the Director of the Civil Defense Department to pay 3 fire engines and a tank car to control the fire, and the rest of the lines adjacent to the burning line were also secured, and all valves closed and pumping stopped until the fire was put out.
