In a statement, the Armenian Ministry of Defense confirmed that fighting with Azerbaijani forces continued throughout the night and resumed in the morning.
On its part, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said that Armenian forces fire on the town of “Tartar” in Azerbaijan.
The region in the South Caucasus is witnessing a major military escalation following the Yerevan-Baku exchange, violating ceasefire agreements between the two sides, and the military forces bombing the other side, which resulted in human losses.
On Sunday, Baku announced that the Armenian forces had bombed the positions of the Azerbaijani army, while Yerevan accused Baku of launching an attack towards Karabakh and bombing towns there, including the city of Stepanakert, the capital of the unrecognized “Karabakh Republic”.
