A major “mistake” was made by the team overseeing social media sites at Manchester City, during the announcement of the contract with Benfica defender Robin Diaz.
Manchester City announced the formal contract with Benfica defender Robin Diaz for 64 million pounds, and a contract extending until the summer of 2026.
According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, the social media team in Manchester City made an embarrassing mistake on the club’s website when they claimed that they had signed Senegalese Calido Coulibaly instead of Robin Diaz.
And City had previously been associated with a contract with a Napoli defender during the current summer transfers, but the financial requests of the Italian club prevented the deal from being completed.
Although the error was promptly corrected, the image was circulated on social media, to the mockery of the fans of the competing clubs.
It is worth noting that City needed to make several changes to his defensive line and had already completed his contract with Bournemouth defender Nathan Aky and Benika defender Robin Diaz.
