Bamford scores for the third time and leads Leeds to bypass Sheffield

Leeds United scored a difficult victory over Sheffield United 1-0 at “Bramall Lane” on Sunday evening, in the third round of the English Premier League.

Leeds owed the credit for the victory to English striker Patrick Bamford, who scored a fatal goal in the 88th minute with a header, taking advantage of Jack Harrison’s cross.

Bamford, 27, and the former Chelsea striker, managed to score for the third match in a row, after visiting defending champions Liverpool in the first round and Fulham.

Leeds raised its tally to six points to rise to sixth place in the Premier League, while Sheffield United remained unbalanced to remain in last place after losing all their matches.
