A US county police chief said a shooting incident in Salem, Oregon, resulted in the deaths, including one suspect.
The Marion County Police Chief said in a statement that the District Police Office had dealt with a possible hostage-taking incident in a home southeast of Salem, and that a trained negotiator had spoken with the suspect.
“There was shooting. In the end, several people were killed during this incident, including the suspect,” the statement added.
