Egyptian media said that Gamal Mubarak, son of the late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, offered al-Muntasir Billah treatment at the expense of the state, but the latter refused the order because he had the money, in addition to his improved health according to his account.
Al-Muntasir Billah revealed in statements before his death that a number of Gulf businessmen also offered to treat him at their expense, but he refused.
According to the Egyptian media, rumors spread about al-Muntasir Billah’s travel on the plane of the late President Hosni Mubarak 250 times, which he denied, but he confirmed that the former president used to concern him with side conversations because of his lightness, but he did not go to him to cast jokes on him, as some rumors repeated.
Al-Muntasir Billah narrated that he was receiving invitations from the presidential palace to attend special events for Mubarak, and he was the only one present from the artistic community alongside many military leaders.
The funeral of al-Muntasir Billah took place on Saturday noon from a hospital in Alexandria, where he passed away at the age of 70.
