Books – Ahmad Jumaa:
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, said that each country will determine its system that it follows in dealing with the distribution of the Corona vaccine to its citizens, whether it is compulsory for some groups or optional for others.
This came during the videoconference held by the Regional Office for Global Health regarding the latest developments in the emerging corona virus disease, today, Wednesday.
Al-Manzari added: “The organization advises everyone to resort to vaccinations as another defense for the body besides preventive means, but every country has its own system that it follows, for example; workers in the health sector may be mandatory to give them the vaccine, to protect them and their families and protect patients.”
He explained that there are other groups who are exposed to immunodeficiency, and the vaccine in this area may be essential, adding: “I expect that everyone seeks to protect themselves and their families by using the safe vaccine, and no vaccine will be approved without making sure of its safety and security.”
The regional director of the organization directed to resort to reliable sources of information, whether international organizations that have data that enables them to trust them, and to move away from what is not reliable, whether in circulated audio messages or videos, especially with regard to the safe use of vaccines.
